Did not realize that I missed my goal on posting daily updates. Today is Aug 22 and almost a month passed in between. Today I weighed 181.6 pounds. started my sensor and insulin again. For last 3-4 days, I have been taking in more protein and less carbs. I feel more energetic. I also took 10 units of (0.1ml of 5ml Monjouro). For past few days I have been prepping for this. In the sense, moving more towards protein food to avoid muscle loss. The last dose of 5 units on Monjouro improved my blood sugar for couple of days without any serious effects. So I upped my level to 10 units. Sensor is warming up. had a smoothie with banana. When I need key in my sugars, will know the impact.

Hello! Welcome. I am, well, VPMDiabetic. Very Poorly Managed Diabetic. Diabetes is a slow killing disease. Only a diabetic understands the challenges the diabetics face. At times, I feel its a lifestyle, a great one. Yet its unforgiving. Every day you have to be in regimen and no excuses. As a normal human, I struggle. I hate regimentation. Yet, the path to freedom is discipline. My intention is to journal my journey, my success, my frustrations, my wins, my struggles. Just that. Simple honest journaling and conversations. VPMD log Day 0: Just came back from a long international trip. Been back home to take care of my parents. My father was hospitalized and my mother too not in great shape. My A1c is off charts. Making daily trips to hospitals and spending time has taught me one thing. I am responsible for my health and well being. With age, things only deteriorate. Being VPMD I have not helped myself a lot.
